Ryan Blackwood!

Pali Consulting is pleased to announce the addition of Ryan Blackwood as staff engineer to our firm.  Ryan is a US Army Veteran, where he served a tour in Iraq in 2006 as an electronics technician on Apache Helicopters.  Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Ryan worked for Lockheed Martin on various projects around the country for nearly a decade, culminating as a Flight Test Engineer on the F-35 program.  He left Lockheed Martin to pursue his own venture, which led him to the position of in-house equipment manager for Laika Studios for a number of years. Ryan recently decided to go back to school and earn a degree in engineering. He is currently studying civil engineering at Portland State University and will be working for Pali Consulting part time while he completes his degree. 

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys remodeling his house in N Portland with his wife, Rebecca.  He also enjoys travelling, and hanging out with his two cats Lyra and Kitsa when he has time. Ryan also flies UAV’s and has a 3D printer business! We are excited to have Ryan’s diverse background and capabilities on board and appreciate his service to our Country.  Welcome Ryan!
